Tapering will continue despite a January employment report that did not meet expectations, according to Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas President Richard Fisher.
"I will say this about the rest of our committee, they are not swayed by a single number. They are thoughtful people," Fisher said in a CNBC interview.
Fisher, a voter on the Federal Open Market Committee this year, said poor weather may have played a role in the numbers not reaching expectation, and added that the early part of the year is generally a weak economic period.
