February Personal Income Up 0.3%; Spending Gains 0.3%

Personal income rose 0.3% in February following an unrevised 0.3% increase in January, the Commerce Department reported Friday.

The February personal income figure was slightly stronger than the median 0.2% increase projected by economists polled by Thomson Reuters.

February personal spending increased 0.3%, after rising a revised 0.2% gain the previous month. January spending figure was originally reported as a 0.4% increase.

Disposable personal income rose 0.3% in February, following a 0.3% increase in January.
