Duncan King Promoted

Duncan King has been named deputy director of the Securities and Exchange Commission's Office of Public Affairs - a post that has been vacant for two years, the SEC said yesterday.

The 25-year-old King, son of Maine Gov. Angus King, has worked in the office since 1996, except for a recent stint as acting deputy director in the Office of Legislative Affairs.

Chris Ullman, the director of the office, said King is "a tremendous asset" and has "superb judgment, boundless energy, and a remarkable level of commitment to the fair and timely dissemination of news."
