Consumer Sentiment Higher at Month’s End

The University of Michigan’s final September consumer sentiment index reading was 73.5, up from the preliminary September reading of 70.2 and the August 65.7 reading, according to market sources.

The expectations index was 73.5 compared to 69.2 earlier in the month and 65.0 last month. The current conditions index was 73.4 in September compared to 71.8 earlier in the month and 66.6 in August.
