NEW YORK - The Chicago Purchasing Managers’ Business Barometer benchmark revisions brought the index down to 62.2 in December from 62.5 previously reported, the National Association of Purchasing Management-Chicago said Thursday.
The production index was revised to 64.9 from 66.2, the new orders index was revised to 67.1 from 68.0, the order backlogs was revised to 57.3 from 57.9 and inventories was revised to 52.0 from 52.2. The employment index was revised to 59.2 from 58.6; and the supplier deliveries index was at 56.5, revised from 57.0. The prices paid index was revised to 63.8 from 65.7.
