Senate President pro tempore Don Perata, D-Oakland, has reappointed two members to the board of the California Health Facilities Financing Authority.

The CHFFA is a conduit issuer of tax-exempt bonds for nonprofit health care organizations, and also offers loans to health care group and apportions state bond money to childrens’ hospitals.

Perata on Friday announced new terms on the board for Harry Bistrin and Oscar M. Sablan.

Sablan, from Firebaugh in the Central Valley, is a physician and medical clinic owner. His voter registration is independent. Bistrin, a Democrat from Ukiah in Mendocino County, is a former field representative for a state Assembly member and former owner of a clothing store chain.

Their new terms expire in March 2012.

The authority is governed by a nine-member board, chaired by the state treasurer. It includes appointees of the governor, the Senate president pro tempore, the Assembly speaker, and a representative of the state controller.
