Butte-Glenn Community College District, Calif., Upgraded to AA by S&P

Standard & Poor's Ratings Services said it raised its rating to AA from AA-minus on Butte-Glenn Community College District, Calif.'s general obligation bonds outstanding.

In addition, it assigned its AA rating to the district's series 2015 GO refunding bonds. The outlook is stable.

"The raised rating reflects our anticipation that the district will maintain a very strong financial position, as demonstrated by its long-term, consistent willingness and ability to adjust its budget to maintain very strong reserves," said Standard & Poor's credit analyst Misty Newland.

The rating reflects the agency's view of the district's: strong financial performance, coupled with very strong reserves; good financial management profile; and low overall debt, with no additional debt plans.
