Standard & Poor's Ratings Services said it raised its long-term and underlying ratings on Blanco, Texas' existing general obligation bonds to AA-minus from A-plus.
The outlook is stable.
"We base the upgrade on the city's very conservative management practices that have led to very strong reserves," said Standard & Poor's credit analyst Ann Richardson.
