Standard & Poor's Ratings Services raised its school issuer credit rating on Aransas Pass Independent School District, Texas' general obligation debt one notch to A-plus from A.
The outlook is stable.
"The upgrade reflects our opinion of the district's maintenance of a very strong financial position coupled with stable enrollment growth," said Standard & Poor's credit analyst Lauren Spalten.
Standard & Poor's also affirmed its AAA program rating with a stable outlook on the district's existing GO debt, reflecting the strength of the Texas Permanent School Fund bond guarantee program.
