The California Public Securities Association has given its annual Award of Excellence in Public Finance to Bob Leland, finance director of Fairfield, the trade group announced.
The annual award recognizes exceptional work, creativity, service, and leadership by a municipal finance professional, said association chairman Jim Cervantes, a managing director with Stone & Youngberg.
The award cites Leland’s 25 years of service with Fairfield, during which he has overseen hundreds of millions of dollars of city bond issuance, “with a level of integrity, ethics, and diligence that has earned him and his city the respect of the bond underwriting community.”
The award was presented at the recent annual conference of the California Society of Municipal Finance Officers in Los Angeles.
