ADP: private sector jobs up 263,000 in March

Private-sector employment increased by 263,000 in March, on a seasonally adjusted basis, ADP estimated Wednesday.

In February, ADP says 245,000 jobs were added, compared to its initial estimate of 298,000 new jobs.

Economists surveyed by IFR Markets reached a 185,000 job gain projection for March.

"Job growth is off to a strong start in 2017," said Mark Zandi, chief economist of Moody's Analytics. "The gains are broad based but most notable in the goods producing side of the economy including construction, manufacturing and mining."
