“Brian is a real pro and this is an important next step to the continued growth of the municipal group,” said Rick Kolman, head of the municipal securities group at Academy.

Stuebe will report to Academy’s sales manager Bill Bingham, who joined the firm last fall and who has been spearheading the growth of its salesforce.

Separately, the company completed its first senior managed municipal bond transaction on Tuesday.

Academy senior managed the Trinity River Authority, Texas’ sale of $6.53 million of revenue bonds for the Walker-Calloway System. The deal was rated AA by S&P Global Ratings.

Curtis Harris, Academy’s managing director of public finance, was the senior banker on the transaction and expressed his satisfaction at the deals success.

“We are thrilled to have completed our first senior managed transaction and delighted that the Authority had the trust in Academy Securities to bring this financing to the market,” he said.
