The Securities and Exchange Commission announced that it will meet next Wednesday to consider money market fund rules.
The commission said it will consider whether to adopt amendments to rules govering the operation of money market funds and related forms, as well as whether to issue a related notice of proposed exemptive relief.
In addition, the SEC will weigh whether to re-propose amendments addressing provisions to credit ratings and whether to propose an amendment to the diversification provisions in the rules.
