Washington Healthcare Provider Placed on Negative Watch

LOS ANGELES — Standard & Poor's placed Samaritan Healthcare's BBB-plus long-term rating and underlying rating on credit watch with negative implications after the Washington state healthcare provider failed to provide timely information.

"This action follows repeated attempts by Standard & Poor's to obtain timely information of satisfactory quality to maintain our rating on the securities in accordance with our applicable criteria and policies," S&P analysts said in a report.

Samaritan is a general medical and surgical hospital located in Moses Lake, Wash. that has 47 beds. It is located in Grant County Hospital District No. 1 in eastern Washington.

If the rating agency doesn't receive the requested information by March 4, it will likely withdraw the rating, but could also change the rating based on available information, according to S&P.
