PFM Asset Management Group has added a new senior managing consultant to help expand the Philadelphia-based firm's multi-asset class management business on the east coast.

PFMAM hired Donald J. Bird, who spent the last eight years as an investment officer at Hirtle Callaghan & Co., to work with clients in developing strategies, guidelines and policies on how to best manage their assets. The firm said in its announcement Tuesday that Bird will be "working with the multi-asset class management team to help develop that sector's business in the eastern United States."

In his previous position at Hirtle Callaghan & Co., Bird worked with clients in the endowments & foundations space in both Philadelphia and Texas. He holds a Certified Financial Planner designation and completed an Executive Program for Financial Planning at Terry College of Business, University of Georgia.

PFMAM is a member of the Philadelphia-based PFM Group of companies. It manages over $13.7 billion in both discretionary and non-discretionary multi-asset class assets.
