Montague DeRose Brings Yee Aboard

LOS ANGELES — Financial advisor Montague DeRose & Associates has merged with Annette Yee & Company to increase its school district expertise.

"We have known Annette for decades," said Doug Montague, principal with Montage DeRose and Associates. "She was ready to join a larger firm and we wanted to enhance our schools practice."

Yee will lead Montague's school district practice, a new area for the firm, which just began expanding into mid-sized issuers last year from its historic focus on larger issuers.

Montague made several new hires last year growing to 18 people in northern and southern California.

The firm's focus since its inception in 1995 has been on larger issuers, highlighted by longstanding relationships with the states of California and Washington, and on the transportation, energy and water and wastewater sectors.

The mainstay of the firm has been on California issuers, but it has clients in several western states, Ohio and Washington D.C.

It is a full-service firm primarily committed to the public sector.

The benefit for Yee will be having the resources of Montague including access to capital markets experts, support services from junior people and the marketing expertise of the firm's senior people, Montague said.

Yee, who has more than 30 years in the industry, began work as a managing director at Montague Jan. 1. She worked as an investment banker in public finance for First Interstate, before moving into financial advisory.
