Sims Hires Oppenheimer's Annamae Logan as MD in Fixed Income Trading

HJ Sims hired Annamae Logan as senior vice president and managing director of Fixed Income Trading, the firm announced on Tuesday.

Logan has 24 years of trading experience, and most recently headed up the taxable municipal desk at Oppenheimer Capital Markets. She has also held trading positions at RBC Capital Markets, Southwest Securities and ABN Amro. She will be based in Sims headquarters in Fairfield, Conn.

"Annamae specializes in taxable trading and bank qualified securities; she has experience with retail and institutional sales, covering middle market banks, insurance companies, investment advisors and municipalities," Arthur J. Wunder, Sims Executive Vice President and Managing Director, said in a press release. "Her skills will enhance HJ Sims' ability to service our retirement account business and further penetrate the institutional arena."

He added that her extensive knowledge will strengthen the firm's banking capability through the creation of new taxable municipal bond issues, as well as five the company the ability to pursue municipal cash management business.
