RBC Hires JPM’s Williams to Co-Head Power and Utilities Group

RBC Capital Markets hired Tim Williams as a managing director in its municipal finance department.

Williams is coming from JP Morgan's public finance banking group, where he was an executive director focused on water, sewer and state revolving funds banking efforts.

Williams will co-head RBC's public power and utilities group along with Harris Kretsge, who has been building the firm's public power practice over the past four years.

"I'm excited to join RBC Capital Markets and co-lead the public power and utilities group with Harris, where I'll focus on water & sewer utilities and state revolving fund issuers," Williams said in a statement from RBC. "Harris has built a strong platform over the last four years and I'm looking forward to adding to the department's success."

Williams' focus will be on the department's national coverage of the water and sewer sectors as well as SRF clients. Harris will continue to focus on the national power utility clients. Additionally, Williams is joined by Kaumudi Atapattu, who is a vice president in the municipal finance department.

Williams has 18 years of municipal finance experience. He will be based in New York and will report to Jim Tricolli.
