Kourtney Ratliff Gibson has been named President of Loop Capital Markets, the firm announced on Tuesday. In her new role, she will to report directly to Chairman and Chief Executive Officer James Reynolds, Jr.

Gibson is an 18-year veteran of the company and oversees its brand building efforts as well as heading the global equity, transition management and taxable fixed income divisions. Gibson succeeds co-founder Albert R. Grace, Jr., who now becomes President Emeritus of the firm.

Under her watch, Loop Capital has expanded its execution capabilities, including the globalization of the firm’s equity division, which now trades in over 70 markets around the world. Gibson also led a strategy which boosted taxable fixed income sales and trading revenues by more than 50% in just one year.

As President, Gibson will continue to lead these divisions, while providing direction and coordination for the entire firm.

“Kourtney has been a dedicated, trusted and integral part of this company for many years,” Reynolds said in a press release. “She possesses a broad understanding of the firm’s businesses and structure.”

Gibson’s promotion is part of Loop Capital’s new organizational structure, which is aimed at positioning the company for significant growth. Chief Financial Officer Tasha Henderson and newly appointed Chief Operating Officer Darrell Williams, will report to both Reynolds and Gibson.

In their redefined positions, Henderson will be responsible for oversight of the firm’s financial, reporting and credit activities while Williams will head the company’s corporate functions, including legal, compliance, human resources, information technology and risk management departments.

“I am so excited about the opportunity to work closely with our CEO and support his goal of taking Loop Capital to the next level,” Gibson said in the release. “With the expertise of our incredibly talented employees and support of our clients, our company has been able to achieve some extraordinary things.”
