Alethia Nancoo Joins Edwards Wildman

LOS ANGELES -- Edwards Wildman Palmer LLP has announced another addition to its public finance practice.

Alethia Nancoo, previously a partner in the infrastructure, project and public finance practice group at Hogan Lovells, has joined Edwards Wildman as a partner in its Washington, D.C. office.

“Alethia adds a dynamic component to our growing group, and we are very pleased that she has decided to join us in the District,” said Walter St. Onge, the chair of Edwards Wildman’s public finance department. “With her impressive background serving public and private entities in financings, she fills a need for our clients in the mid-Atlantic region and beyond.”

Nancoo has a background in public and project-debt financings, with a clientele that includes municipalities, public issuers and authorities, nonprofit corporations, and investment banks.

She has advised clients in the United States and the Caribbean in infrastructure construction, airport and toll road transportation, multi-family housing, and water and sewer matters.

Nancoo earned her undergraduate and master’s degrees at the University of Maryland, College Park. She earned her law degree from the University of Wisconsin Law School.

Edwards Wildman, which was established in 2011 from the merger of Edwards Angell Palmer & Dodge LLP and Wildman, Harrold, Allen & Dixon LLP, has 15 offices throughout the United States, the United Kingdom, and Asia.

The firm is ranked 14th among bond counsel firms by total volume issued in 2012, according to Thomson Reuters data.
