Activity Expands at Slower Pace, Dallas Fed Says

Texas factory activity, as measured by the production index, rose slower in June than in May, according to the monthly business activity survey conducted by the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas, released Monday.

The general business conditions index slipped to negative 17.5 in June from negative 7.4 in May.

The production index slid to 5.6 from 12.7, while capacity use decreased to negative 0.8 from positive 11.1, the Fed reported.
