Assured Guaranty Ltd. late yesterday announced it named John Trahan managing director of the southern region for both of Assured’s municipal insurers — Assured Guaranty Corp. and Assured Guaranty Municipal Corp.
Trahan joined AGC in 2006 and has served in marketing and underwriting operations.
“We’ve named John to this position to broaden our coverage of the southern region, as well as to enhance our service to customers in these states,” said Bill Hogan, senior managing director of municipal finance. He added that Trahan has “strong relationships in this region.”
Prior to joining AGC, Trahan was a director of public finance at BNP Paribas in New York City. Before that, he held similar positions at KBC Bank and CIBC World Markets Corp. in Los Angeles, and Sumitomo Bank and Texas Commerce Bank in Houston.
