Financial conditions in the U.S. states are continuing to get better, but there is still a way to go before they get back to their pre-recession stability, according to a report released today by the National Association of Budget Officers. NASBO, which surveyed all 50 states from August through October, found that conditions in fiscal year 2014 are modestly improving as states see signs of fiscal distress subside.
