NEW YORK, June 26, 2014 --Moody's Investors Service has downgraded to Ba3 from Ba2 the rating on the Puerto Rico Electric Power Authority's (PREPA) approximately $8.8 billion of outstanding Power Revenue Bonds. The rating remains under review for possible further downgrade.

The state of Washington completed a $1.2 billion combined new money and refunding deal this week, garnering major savings from the refinancing portion, according to the state treasurer.

Fitch Ratings-New York-26 June 2014: Fitch Ratings has downgraded the rating on $8.7 billion of Puerto Rico Electric Power Authority (PREPA) power revenue bonds to 'CC' from 'BB'.

On the heels of a state rating upgrade, new paper brought to market by California issuers Thursday was attractive to municipal bond investors.
