The University of Michigan's final June consumer sentiment index reading was 82.5, compared to the preliminary June 81.2, and the final May 81.9, according to market sources.
The expectations index was 73.5, compared to the preliminary June 72.2 and the final May 73.7.
The current conditions index was 96.6, compared to the preliminary June 95.4 and the final May 94.5.
Economists polled by Thomson Reuters had predicted an 82.0 reading for the main index, 96.0 for current conditions and 72.8 for expectations.
The five-year inflation expectation index was 2.9%, compared to 2.8% in May, while the one-year inflation expectation index was 3.1%, compared to 3.3% in May.
The University of Michigan index is not released to the press, but only to paying subscribers.
