The Turnpike Authority of Kentucky approved a resolution authorizing the issuance of up to $250 million of economic development road revenue refunding bonds.

A plan to build a new arena in Virginia accommodating two major league sports faces opposition both locally and from the teams' current home in Washington.

The state expects to release a RFQ for interested consortiums later this year and has named I-24 as the first toll lane project.

"The debt afforablity study was just released. In this study we outlined how state debt is going to be falling by 60% over an eight year period," state Treasurer Dale Folwell said Tuesday.

Financing for the $2.1 billion Calcasieu River bridge includes a mix of state funds, federal grants and bonds, which will hit the market in early April.

"We're going to be opportunistic based on what the market conditions are and what the interest rate environment is," said Ben Watkins, director of the Florida Division of Bond Finance. "We like to be like Boy Scouts — we always want to be prepared."

Issuance for the month is slightly above the $27.666 billion 10-year average, according to LSEG Refinitiv data.

The city is looking for "a diverse group of qualified firms with varied strengths and market advantages" to "provide the most cost-effective distribution."

The legislation comes as the U.S. and Florida saw a record number of rocket launches last year.

LSEG Lipper reported Thursday that investors added $210.6 million to municipal bond mutual funds for the week ending Wednesday — the third consecutive week — after inflows of $898 million the week prior.
