Eric Fischer, a 30-year corporate trust industry veteran, has rejoined Wilmington Trust as managing director and client development officer for its Global Capital Markets division.

Based in Boston, Fischer will be part of the Northeast sales team, which is focused on further developing strategic relationships in municipal finance and tender option bonds and escrows and paying agent services. He will report to senior vice president Patrick Trainor.

“Given the challenging times we're facing as a society, it's never been more critical to provide essential trust services for institutions that are working to keep their businesses strong,” Fischer said. "That's why I'm thrilled to be back with Wilmington Trust to deliver solutions that will help our GCM clients navigate the current uncertainty and to enhance and develop relationships that will allow us to continue to grow as a firm.”

Fischer worked at Wilmington Trust from 2006 until 2011, when he then joined U.S. Bank in Boston, where he most recently served as a senior vice president. He was responsible for new business development in the Northeast.

“As our corporate escrows and tender option bond businesses continue to expand, we're confident that Eric will help us increase revenue, establish strategic business alliances and elevate our sales organization,” Trainor said.

Wilmington Trust offers trust services for capital markets financing structures, institutional investment capabilities and institutional custody services. It has offices across the United States and in 90 countries.
