The Treasury Department Tuesday auctioned $12 billion of 364-day bills at a 0.500% high yield, a price of 99.494444.
The coupon equivalent was 0.510%. The bid-to-cover ratio was 4.03.
Tenders at the high rate were allotted 12.29%. The median yield was 0.480%. The low yield was 0.450%.
The bills have an issue date of Nov. 12 and are due Nov. 10, 2016.
Tenders totaled $48,405,615,000 and the Treasury accepted $12,000,095,000, including $137,615,000 non-competitive.
The Fed banks bought nothing for their own account in exchange for maturing securities.
