Treasury Year Bills Go At 0.260% High Rate

NEW YORK - The Treasury Department Tuesday auctioned $25 billion of 364-day bills at a 0.260% high yield, a price of 99.737111.

The coupon equivalent was 0.264%. The bid-to-cover ratio was 4.30.

Tenders at the high rate were allotted 13.01%. The median yield was 0.250%. The low yield was 0.200%.

The bills have an issue date of August 26 and are due August 25, 2011.

Tenders totaled $107,436,497,600 and the Treasury accepted $25,000,269,100, including $239,447,600 non-competitive.

The Fed banks bought nothing for their own account in exchange for maturing securities.
