Treasury Year Bills Go At 0.140% High Rate

NEW YORK - The Treasury Department Tuesday auctioned $26 billion of 364-day bills at a 0.140% high yield, a price of 99.858444.

The coupon equivalent was 0.142%. The bid-to-cover ratio was 4.61.

Tenders at the high rate were allotted 33.76%. The median yield was 0.135%. The low yield was 0.120%.

The bills have an issue date of Feb. 9 and are due Feb. 7, 2013.

Tenders totaled $119,786,622,800 and the Treasury accepted $26,001,246,800, including $171,622,800 non-competitive.

The Fed banks bought nothing for their own account in exchange for maturing securities.
