NEW YORK - The Treasury Department said it will sell $36 billion of four-week discount bills tomorrow.
There are currently $101.001 billion of four-week, or 28-day, bills outstanding.
The bills settle July 1 and are due July 29.
Federal Reserve banks hold $5.938 billion in maturing bills in their own accounts.
U.S. Attorney for the District of Columbia Jeanine Pirro said in a social media post Friday morning that the Justice Department is closing its investigation into Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell, clearing a path for Kevin Warsh to be confirmed as Powell's replacement.
"Retiring these terms eliminates unnecessary ambiguities associated with their use in MSRB rules," MSRB Board Vice Chair Wendell Gaertner said.
