NEW YORK - The Treasury Department said today it will auction $28 billion 91-day bills and $28 billion 182-day discount bills Monday.
The 91s are dated July 1 and due Sept. 30, and the 182s are dated July 1, and due Dec. 30.
Currently, there are $29.002 billion 91-days outstanding and no 182s.
U.S. Attorney for the District of Columbia Jeanine Pirro said in a social media post Friday morning that the Justice Department is closing its investigation into Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell, clearing a path for Kevin Warsh to be confirmed as Powell's replacement.
"Retiring these terms eliminates unnecessary ambiguities associated with their use in MSRB rules," MSRB Board Vice Chair Wendell Gaertner said.
