The Treasury Department auctioned $29 billion of seven-year notes, with a 1 3/4% coupon and a 1.813% high yield, a price of 99.587587.
The bid-to-cover ratio was 2.51.
Tenders at the high yield were allotted 5.06%. All competitive tenders at lower yields were accepted in full.
The median yield was 1.776%. The low yield was 1.700%.
Tenders totaled $72,928,155,200 and the Treasury accepted $29,000,000,800 including $16,105,200 non-competitive.
The Fed banks bought nothing for their own account in exchange for maturing securities.
The notes are dated Sept. 30 and are due Sept. 30, 2022.
