Treasury 5-Year TIPs Go at -0.209% High Yield

The Treasury Department Thursday auctioned $14 billion of five-year inflation-indexed notes with a 0.125% coupon, a -0.209% high yield, an adjusted price of 103.268595.

The bid-to-cover ratio was 2.37.

Tenders at the high yield were allotted 96.30%. All competitive tenders at lower yields were accepted in full.

The median yield was -0.260%. The low yield was -0.310%.

Tenders totaled $33,127,541,400 and the Treasury accepted $14,000,041,400 including $19,361,400 non-competitive.

The Fed banks also bought $957,435,800 for their own account.

The notes, which have an issue date of Aug. 31, are dated April 15, and will mature April 15, 2021.
