NEW YORK - The Treasury Department Tuesday auctioned $18 billion of four-week bills at a 0.055% high yield, a price of 99.995722.
The coupon equivalent was 0.056%. The bid-to-cover ratio was 5.30.
Tenders at the high rate were allotted 7.94%. The median yield was 0.040%. The low yield was 0.020%.
The bills have an issue date of July 28 and are due Aug. 25.
Tenders totaled $95,471,510,400 and the Treasury accepted $18,000,074,400, including $212,260,400 non-competitive.
The Fed banks bought $5,937,991,000 for their own account in exchange for maturing securities.
