The Treasury Department Tuesday auctioned $45 billion of four-week bills at a 0.170% high yield, a price of 99.986778.
The coupon equivalent was 0.173%. The bid-to-cover ratio was 3.24.
Tenders at the high rate were allotted 42.38%. The median rate was 0.140%. The low rate was 0.080%.
The bills have an issue date of Dec. 31 and are due Jan. 28, 2016.
Tenders totaled $145,632,992,200 and the Treasury accepted $45,000,112,200, including $234,242,800 non-competitive.
The Fed banks bought nothing for their own account in exchange for maturing securities.
