The Treasury Department Tuesday auctioned $30 billion of four-week bills at a 0.010% high yield, a price of 99.999222.

The coupon equivalent was 0.010%. The bid-to-cover ratio was 4.13.

Tenders at the high rate were allotted 47.86%. The median rate was zero. The low rate was zero.

The bills have an issue date of December 19 and are due January 16, 2014.

Tenders totaled $123,826,473,000 and the Treasury accepted $30,000,248,000, including $258,884,000 non-competitive.

The Fed banks bought nothing for their own account in exchange for maturing securities.
