The Treasury Department Thursday auctioned $16 billion of 30-year bonds with a 3% coupon at a 3.070% high yield, a price of 98.633963.
The bid-to-cover ratio was 2.41.
Tenders at the high yield were allotted 95.55%.
The median yield was 3.030%. The low yield was 2.936%.
Tenders totaled $38,544,742,700 and the Treasury accepted $16,000,002,700 including $15,822,700 non-competitive.
The Fed banks also bought $81,521,500 for their own account in exchange for maturing securities.
The bonds dated Nov. 15, will mature Nov. 15, 2045.
