The Treasury Department Thursday auctioned $13 billion of 29-year 11-month bonds with a 2 7/8% coupon at a 2.980% high yield, a price of 97.927845.
The bid-to-cover ratio was 2.54.
Tenders at the high yield were allotted 27.92%.
The median yield was 2.950%. The low yield was 2.888%.
Tenders totaled $32,961,817,000 and the Treasury accepted $13,000,049,000 including $13,422,000 non-competitive.
The Fed banks also bought nothing for their own account in exchange for maturing securities.
The bonds dated Aug. 15, will mature Aug. 15, 2045.
