The Treasury Department Thursday auctioned $13 billion of 29-year 11-month bonds with a 3% coupon at a 2.978% high yield, a price of 100.430635.
The bid-to-cover ratio was 2.42.
Tenders at the high yield were allotted 81.27%.
The median yield was 2.930%. The low yield was 2.850%.
Tenders totaled $31,485,558,300 and the Treasury accepted $13,000,002,800 including $9,918,300 non-competitive.
The Fed banks also bought nothing for their own account in exchange for maturing securities.
The bonds dated Nov. 15, will mature Nov. 15, 2045.
