The Treasury Department Thursday auctioned $12 billion of 29-year 10-month bonds with a 2 7/8% coupon at a 2.914% high yield, a price of 99.221642.
The bid-to-cover ratio was 2.32.
Tenders at the high yield were allotted 47.34%.
The median yield was 2.850%. The low yield was 2.750%.
Tenders totaled $27,786,397,600 and the Treasury accepted $12,000,003,600 including $5,068,600 non-competitive.
The Fed banks also purchased $664,925,700 for their own account.
The bonds dated Nov. 15, will mature Nov. 15, 2046.
