The Treasury Department Thursday auctioned $13 billion of 29-year 10-month bonds with a 2 7/8% coupon at a 2.914% high yield, a price of 99.221618.
The bid-to-cover ratio was 2.46.
Tenders at the high yield were allotted 91.87%.
The median yield was 2.874%. The low yield was 2.795%.
Tenders totaled $31,981,623,000 and the Treasury accepted $13,000,005,300 including $1,652,000 non-competitive.
The Fed banks also bought nothing for their own account in exchange for maturing securities.
The bonds dated Aug. 15, will mature Aug. 15, 2045.
