The Treasury Department Thursday auctioned $15 billion of 30-year bonds with a 2.50% coupon at a 2.615% high yield, a price of 97.619462.
The bid-to-cover ratio was 2.19.
Tenders at the high yield were allotted 17.76%.
The median yield was 2.554%. The low yield was 2.388%.
Tenders totaled $32,891,154,800 and the Treasury accepted $15,000,034,800 including $15,338,800 non-competitive.
The Fed banks also bought $3,392,254,100 for their own account in exchange for maturing securities.
The bonds dated May 15, will mature May 15, 2046.
