The Treasury Department Thursday auctioned $15 billion of 30-year bonds with a 2.25% coupon at a 2.274% high yield, a price of 99.480162.
The bid-to-cover ratio was 2.24.
Tenders at the high yield were allotted 51.98%.
The median yield was 2.205%. The low yield was 2.088%.
Tenders totaled $33,532,916,200 and the Treasury accepted $15,000,019,600 including $5,545,200 non-competitive.
The Fed banks also bought $1,536,425,000 for their own account.
The bonds dated Aug. 15, will mature Aug. 15, 2046.
