Dan Friel, former vice president and director of fixed income at Quick & Reilly, has joined UBS Financial Services Inc. as a first vice president and senior trader in the Northeast group.
A spokeswoman said Friel was not available for comment. She noted that Friel joined on April 6 and now reports to Jerome Doyle, managing director at UBS.
Friel served at Quick & Reilly for 15 years, a spokeswoman at that firm said. Most recently, as a senior trader, Friel reported to Ron Loukas, managing director of fixed income, she said. Friel left Quick & Reilly in late March.
Quick & Reilly's parent company, the former FleetBoston Financial, was recently acquired by Bank of America Corp. That merger closed on April 1. A number of those bankers were assimilated into Banc of America Securities.
