The Treasury will auction $29 billion of 91-day bills and $28 billion of 182-day discount bills. The 91-day bills are dated Oct. 21 and due Jan. 20, 2011. The 182-day bills are dated Oct. 21 and due April 21, 2011.
Industrial production and capacity utilization figures for September are released by the Federal Reserve Board.
The National Association of Home Builders releases its housing survey for October.

Tuesday, October 19
Housing start and building permit figures for September are released by the Commerce Department.
The Treasury will auction $24 billion of year bills. The 52-week bills are dated Oct. 21 and due Oct. 20, 2011.

Wednesday, October 20
The Beige Book, a summary of economic commentary compiled from the 12 Federal Reserve Banks, is released by the Fed.

Thursday, October 21
Initial jobless claims for the week ending Oct. 16 are released by the Labor Department.

Leading indicators for September are released by the Conference Board.
