The Treasury will auction $30 billion of 91-day bills and $31 billion of 182-day discount bills. The 91-day bills are dated Dec. 17 and due March 18, 2010. The 182-day bills are dated Dec. 17 and due June 17, 2010.

 

Tuesday, December 15
Producer price figures for November are released by the Labor Department.

Industrial production and capacity utilization figures for November are released by the Federal Reserve Board.

The National Association of Home Builders releases its index for December.

The Federal Open Market Committee holds the first of a two-day meeting.

The Treasury will auction $27 billion of one year bills on Dec. 15. The 52-week bills are dated Dec. 17 and due Dec. 16, 2010.

 

Wednesday, December 16
Consumer price figures for November are released by the Labor Department.

Housing starts and building permit figures for November are released by the Commerce Department.

The U.S. current account deficit or surplus for the third quarter is announced by the Commerce Department.

The Federal Open Market Committee concludes its two-day meeting and releases a statement on monetary policy.

 

Thursday, December 17
Initial jobless claims for the week ending Dec. 12 are released by the Labor Department.

Leading economic indicator figures for November are released by the Conference Board.
