Gov. Sonny Perdue announced this week that net revenue collections for December totaled about $1.6 billion, a slight increase of $470,000 over December 2006 revenues.

More significantly, Department of Revenue officials report that at the close of the second quarter of fiscal 2008, net tax collections reached $8.6 billion, an increase of $348 million, or 4.2%, over the same year-to-date period last year. Individual income, sales and use, and corporate taxes led the increase.
