The University of Nebraska board of regents will vote Friday on a $56 million plan to expand its Memorial Stadium to make it more competitive with other Big 10 stadiums. The Cornhuskers join the Big Ten conference next year.

The expansion plan would include $15 million in revenue bonds backed by new ticket revenue, and $40.5 million of private money. The expansion would feature a three-story lobby and boost stadium seating to 90,000 from about 81,000.
