The Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association said that as of 1:15 p.m. Sunday afternoon it expected U.S. bond markets to be open Monday.

SIFMA in an announcement on its website said it is continuing to monitor the potential impact on the financial markets of Hurricane Sandy, which was approaching the Northeast region of the U.S. on Sunday afternoon.
